Hello!
Hi, I'm Ellen, a florist based in Wadhurst, East Sussex. I love creating modern & natural florals inspired by the changing season's ingredients.

My love of flowers started young when my mum carved out a little section of her garden for me to call my own. I've always been creative & studied textile design at uni but struggled to figure out what I wanted to do. I stumbled into floristry while working in fashion textiles & I fell in love with it! After years of freelancing for different florists I set up my own business in 2022. If you're wondering where the name FL.owl comes from its after my little cat Owl who loves to stick her nose in the flowers!

Mainly working on weddings & events, each project I take on is unique. I will design bespoke florals for you from start to finish; working with you to create a floral colour palette, mood & design that reflect your style & compliment your venue.

I try to use as many locally grown flowers & foliage as possible. I recently re-located to East Sussex from SE London & am starting to build up a network of local growers & farms to source from. This not only makes your flowers beautifully seasonal but is also kinder to the planet & keeps things free of harmful chemicals. My main aim for 2026 is to move to using exclusively British grown flowers & foliage. Keeping things as environmentally friendly as I can is very important in my work so I avoid single use plastics wherever possible & never, ever use floral foam.
